How to create a 28×28 DNF guild mark PNG

This browser tool turns a logo or drawing into a guild mark 28 pixels wide and 28 pixels high. The Korean Dungeon & Fighter FAQ describes resizing guild marks to 28×28 and resaving images when profiles cause registration problems. This maker combines square cropping, zoom and position, three resizing presets, sharpening, alpha cleanup, a one-pixel outline and direct pixel editing. Its file format also appears in historical Japanese publisher guidance. Registration requirements depend on the regional client.

Judge the actual 28×28 result, rather than only the enlarged editor. Small text and complex shapes can merge at this size even if the original is sharp. Compare the actual-size image, the 12× pixel view and an illustrative dark game interface. The download uses a dedicated lossless 8-bit RGBA PNG encoder with only IHDR, IDAT and IEND chunks, avoiding additional color-profile metadata. The save button stays disabled until image processing succeeds.

When this tool is needed

  • Sizing a guild logo to 28×28 for the first time
  • Repairing text or outlines that blur after reduction
  • Cleaning translucent fringes around a transparent PNG
  • Checking actual-size readability and contrast before registration

Before you start

  • Use an image you created or have permission to use.
  • Favor one clear symbol and strong contrast; avoid long text.
  • Decide whether to preserve transparency or add an outline.
  • Check your current regional client, guild permissions and registration screen.

How to use

  1. Choose or drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF image.
  2. Select Original look, Crisp or Keep pixel art to match your source.
  3. Adjust zoom and horizontal and vertical position to center the main symbol in a square.
  4. Increase sharpness slightly if the actual-size view is blurry; raise the alpha threshold to clean translucent fringes.
  5. Try a one-pixel outline and a contrasting color if a transparent logo disappears against the dark preview.
  6. Use the pen to reconnect broken lines and the transparent eraser to remove unwanted pixels.
  7. Check that the symbol is recognizable in the actual-size and illustrative game previews.
  8. Download the 28×28 PNG, then follow the current registration instructions for your regional client.

Reducing blur at 28 pixels

Start with Original look or Crisp for photos and curved logos. Sharpening increases edge contrast, but excessive values can introduce bright halos and color steps. Compare values around 0.4 to 0.9 first. For existing pixel art, use Keep pixel art to avoid introducing intermediate colors through interpolation. Outlines only grow into transparent pixels. A JPG with an opaque background has no empty outline space; remove its background first if that is the intended result.

What a profile-free PNG can help with

The output omits additional color-profile and gamma chunks to reduce the profile-related compatibility issue described by the Korean FAQ. It contains a PNG signature, a 28×28 IHDR header, lossless RGBA pixels in IDAT and a final IEND chunk. Dimensions and chunks are checked before downloading. This does not guarantee acceptance by every game service. Guild permissions, client versions, policies and upload restrictions remain outside Toolvil. Consult the Korean Dungeon & Fighter guild FAQ for that service and your current regional client guide for registration.

Check image rights and game policies

A guild mark is repeatedly shown to other players. Using someone else's trademarks, characters or photos without permission, or offensive or impersonating symbols, can cause rights disputes or game restrictions. Use your own work or licensed material. Review the actual-size result with your guild to catch ambiguous shapes. This page makes an image file; it does not approve registration or guarantee how a game displays it.

This tool creates a real 28×28 PNG without color profiles in your browser. Registration and display depend on the current regional client, guild permissions and service policy.

FAQ

What size is a DNF guild mark?

The Korean Dungeon & Fighter FAQ specifies 28×28 pixels when troubleshooting guild-mark registration. A historical Japanese publisher update also specifies 28×28 PNG for custom marks. This tool fixes both the canvas and PNG header at 28×28. Check the requirements of your current regional client.

Can a profile-free PNG fix an incompatible-image error?

The Korean FAQ explains that incompatible image profiles can prevent registration and suggests resaving the image. Toolvil creates a simple RGBA PNG containing only IHDR, IDAT and IEND, without ICC, sRGB or gamma metadata. Acceptance must still be checked in your current regional client.

Which adjustments help when the 28×28 image looks blurry?

Start with the recommended Crisp preset and increase sharpness slightly if small letters or thin lines remain unclear. A one-pixel outline can clarify a transparent logo. For pixel-art originals, use Keep pixel art.

Are my guild-mark images sent to a server?

No. Reading the image, square cropping, conversion to 28×28, adjustments, pixel editing, PNG creation and validation all run in your browser. Toolvil does not send the original image or result to its server.

Do I need to rename the downloaded file?

Toolvil requests the descriptive filename dungeon-fighter-guild-mark-28x28.png. Your browser may add a number to repeated downloads. If your current regional upload screen requires a specific name, rename the file according to that client's instructions.
