Users who search for making a Lineage clan emblem fall into two broad groups. There are people who want to prepare an image themselves and put it into the Lineage Classic clan emblem generator, but there are also many people looking for a 16x12 BMP clan emblem design they can use right away. This page is a Lineage clan emblem gallery made for the latter group. It was made so that 200 designs newly composed by Toolvil and 200 CC0 public designs with clear redistribution terms can be chosen directly in the browser.
16x12 pixels are smaller than you think. Large logos or complex characters easily lose their shape the moment they are scaled down, and letters are also hard to recognize if they have too many strokes. So the designs were divided toward motifs whose silhouette is seen first at a small size, such as shields, crowns, swords and spears, flames, wings, moon and star, rune patterns, gems, Hangul jamo, and abstract emblems. Hangul designs were composed around jamo and short syllables rather than complete sentences, so that they would be easy to use as the first character of a clan name or as a concept indicator.
Each design shows the actual 16x12 size together with an enlarged preview. That is because, even if it looks good on the enlarged screen, it is hard to use as a clan emblem if it blurs into a blob at the actual size. For download, a 24-bit BMP is provided as the default, in keeping with the flow for making a Lineage clan mark, and a PNG that is easy to edit further or to share is provided as well. If you want to change the colors more, download the design and then refine it again in the Lineage Classic clan emblem generator or a pixel art conversion tool.
For a Lineage clan emblem, the actual size matters more than the enlarged image. At 16x12, the outer silhouette, the center point, and the color contrast are seen before the fine detail. A good design keeps its shape even if one or two colors disappear, and the center color is not buried even if the background becomes dark. Designs with a strong symbol, such as a shield or a crown, convey the clan's character immediately, and runes or abstract crests give less of a duplicate feeling inside a server, so they are good for long use.
For Hangul designs, it is especially better to reduce ambition. Long characters, or characters with many final consonants, easily become blurry on small pixels. If you use an initial consonant, a single character, or a short symbolic word and set a strong outline, they are easier to recognize next to the clan list or beside a character name.
The BMP received from this page is set for a flow of using it directly for registration. However, background handling and file name rules can differ by server, so after you upload the downloaded file to the Lineage Classic clan emblem generator, set the output size to 16x12 and turn off background candidate color removal. Then the opaque colors of the design are kept, and only the transparent areas are converted to a black key. If you download the PNG, it is easier to change the colors or redraw the outline while the transparent areas are preserved.
If you want to make the original image yourself, use the design gallery for concept reference, and make a 16x12 or 24x18 BMP from your own image in the generator. To keep the original pixels of a gallery design, choose 16x12. This way, you can reduce the chance of overlapping an existing clan crest and can make a symbol that fits the clan name more sharply.
The 200 public CC0 designs were collected from OpenGameArt's Shields CC0, OpenGameArt's Shields 2 CC0, and OpenGameArt's CC0 Shield Icons. Different original shields by SnoopethDuckDuck, Cethiel, hernandack, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup contributors, 7Soul1, and babysamurai were used.
Only designs for which reproduction, modification, and commercial use are allowed under the CC0 1.0 license shown on each original page were included. The transparent areas of the originals were tidied and fitted to 16x12 by the nearest-neighbor method, and the download files use the same pixel composition. The address and SHA-256 hash of each original compressed file are preserved in the source manifest of the repository.
Being published online, or having no copyright notice, does not by itself mean that free use is allowed. This gallery excludes community and blog designs whose license is unclear from collection, and adds only materials whose redistribution and modification terms can be checked in the original text.
