When planning a trip, local opening dates and an estimated budget matter alongside flights and accommodation. A holiday calendar helps you spot dates that may affect public offices or banks, but each country has its own regional and institutional scope. This page brings those stated schedules together with an editable currency comparison. Check the country explanation before using a date, and confirm actual opening hours and exchange quotes with the relevant provider.
Built-in rates are the European Commission InforEuro monthly accounting references for November 2026. Currency units per euro are converted to KRW-based ratios without intermediate rounding for cross-currency calculations. These are not live market prices, bank midpoint rates or retail exchange quotes. Fees and discounts are excluded; enter your chosen one-unit rate or a rate supplied by your bank when needed. Country selection and calculations run in your browser without sending inputs to a server.
When this tool is needed
- Check holidays and scheduled days off before visiting a supported country
- Compare a local-currency amount with a familiar currency for an estimated budget
- Compare different currency pairs for an estimated budget
Before you use the tool
- Rates are November 2026 monthly accounting references, excluding live pricing and bank fees.
- Schedules cover only the stated 2026 regions and institutions. Observances and working days are not days off.
- Enter a current provider rate manually when the monthly reference is unsuitable.
How to use
- Find a country by name or two-letter code.
- Select it and read its 2026 schedule, scope and default currency pair.
- Choose the amount and source and target currencies.
- The cross-currency comparison updates immediately.
- Edit the one-unit rate when you want to apply a different ratio.
Why the reference rate is editable
Monthly accounting references can differ from actual exchange amounts. Enter a bank-provided one-unit rate to calculate with that ratio; edited cross-rates remain when swapping or changing currencies. The rate is 1 for identical currencies. Reset discards edits and restores built-in monthly rates and the default country and amount. Small rate decimals are not cut to zero; displayed amounts are rounded to the currency display precision. Check the intended pair after editing several currencies.
Holiday data scope and limits
The 8 countries do not share one closure rule. The scope is South Korean public offices, Japan Cabinet Office holidays, US federal employees, England and Wales bank holidays, and France national legal holidays. China includes announced breaks and make-up workdays; Thailand covers financial institutions plus a Bangkok-only special day; Vietnam uses public-sector schedules. Verified lunar, moving and substitute dates apply to 2026 only. Ordinary weekends, every local variation and private-business closures are not guaranteed. Orange marks observances and make-up workdays.
Use the stated regional and institutional scope. A calendar date does not mean every shop, transport service or attraction closes, and monthly reference rates do not guarantee an exchange amount. Check the institution opening hours and your bank applied rate before relying on them.

FAQ
Which countries and holiday schedules are supported?
Schedules cover South Korea, Japan, the US, China, the UK, France, Thailand and Vietnam in 2026. Scope differs, including South Korean public offices, US federal employees and England/Wales bank holidays. Read the country scope and distinguish official days off, religious dates and observance/workday references. Spanish language does not imply Spanish holiday coverage.
Are the rates live, and are fees included?
No. The 13 currencies use European Commission InforEuro monthly accounting references for November 2026. They are not live market prices or bank exchange quotes and exclude fees and discounts. Enter a one-unit rate from your bank to compare with that ratio.
Can I edit an exchange rate?
Yes. Enter a positive one-unit rate to apply that ratio to cross-conversions. Identical currencies use 1; reset restores built-in monthly values. Amounts must be positive and no more than 1 trillion. Small rates are not cut to zero before calculation.
How does cross-currency conversion work?
The source gives currency units per EUR. Ratios are linked through KRW and calculated as amount times the source ratio divided by the target ratio, covering all pairs of 13 currencies. Swap reverses direction while retaining edited ratios. Displayed amounts are rounded and do not guarantee a transaction amount.
Why check the holiday scope before travelling?
A calendar date alone cannot establish shop, museum or transport hours. Check observed US dates, UK regional differences, Thai banking and Bangkok-only days, and make-up workdays in China and Vietnam. Copy, share or save TXT for planning, then confirm institution hours and your bank exchange rate before relying on them.
